Ronny Glanton
Head Professional
Ronny became the Head Golf Professional at Sherrill Park in November 1985. With a remarkable career, he was named the 2020 PGA of America Golf Professional of the Year, the highest award given to a PGA member. He served two terms as President of the Northern Texas PGA, in 2006-2007 and 2018-2019, making him the only two-time President in the organization’s history.
At Sherrill Park, Ronny’s expertise extends to overseeing diverse areas, including Daily Operations, Food and Beverage, Golf Course and Property Improvements, and Teaching Programs, all of which span over 300 acres. Ronny’s passion for golf is exemplified not only in his managerial skills but also in his prowess as a player. He has qualified for the Byron Nelson seven times across three decades and achieved an impressive six Individual Major Championships as a Senior.
Ronny’s extensive experience and dedication to the sport make him a distinguished figure in the golfing community. His leadership and achievements serve as a testament to his unwavering commitment to excellence both on and off the course.

Mike Fountain
1st Assistant
Mike assumed the position of Assistant Golf Professional at Sherrill Park in January 1991 and has served in this capacity for 31 years. Recognizing his exceptional talents and contributions, Mike was promoted to Lead Assistant Professional in April 1994.
His expertise are in Tournament Operations and Merchandising. The Northern Texas PGA honored Mike’s outstanding achievements with the title of Assistant Golf Professional of the Year in 1994, further validating his remarkable skills in the industry.
Mike earned a Business Degree from The University of Texas at Dallas in 1990, establishing a strong foundation for his career in the golfing world.
Mike’s experience, commitment, and noteworthy achievements exemplify his status as a respected and proficient professional in the golfing community. His passion for the sport continue to drive excellence in his role at Sherrill Park.

Thomas Frankovich
Assistant Golf Professional
Thomas is an Assistant Golf Professional at Sherrill Park Golf Course. As a longtime Richardson resident, he has been playing and practicing at Sherrill Park for nearly 18 years. Having been an integral part of the Hawks Junior Golf team, Thomas possesses a comprehensive understanding of the course dynamics and its legacy.
His commitment to the golfing community extends beyond playing, as he has experience in food and beverage operations as well as cart operations. Thomas eagerly anticipates furthering his involvement in both golf instruction and course operations, aspiring to attain his PGA Membership.

Joshua Civello
Assistant Golf Professional
Josh has been an assistant professional at Sherrill Park since January 2019, bringing his expertise and passion for golf to our establishment. Hailing from the Dallas, Texas area, he holds a lifelong connection with the sport, having refined his skills on various local courses, including our very own Sherrill Park. At Sachse High School, Josh secured a spot on the Varsity golf team for all four years. At Tarleton State, he earned a BBA in Marketing.
He is extremely passionate about the game of golf and enjoys contributing to the growth of the game. Currently, he is enrolled in the PGA Professional Golf Management (PGM) Program, an important step towards becoming a PGA Member.

Maya Palacios
Assistant Golf Professional
Maya is a golf enthusiast from Richardson. With over a decade of experience at Sherrill Park, it has been the cornerstone of her golfing journey and where she honed her skills. During her time at Plano East Highschool, Maya was an active member of their golf team, showcasing her dedication and talent on the course. Building on her love for sports and management, she graduated with a degree in Sports Management from Texas Tech University.
Maya is now continuing on with the PGA program to elevate her expertise. Working at the Pro Shop of Sherrill Park is not just a job; it’s an opportunity to engage with the people she has known for most of her life and create memorable experiences for golfers in the community.With her sights set on becoming a PGA member, Maya remains committed to her passion for golf and the sports industry.

Grant Jones
Golf Course Superintendent
Grant Jones was born and raised in Dallas, TX. He graduated from Texas A&M University in December 2010 with a degree in Turfgrass Management. He served as a summer intern at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, NY, and Kirtland Country Club in Willoughby, OH, and was also an agronomy volunteer for the 2009 US Women’s Open at Saucon Valley Country Club and the 2009 US Amateur at Southern Hills Country Club. In January 2011 he began his career as the Assistant Superintendent at Golfcrest Country Club in Pearland, TX, then moved to The Woodlands Country Club. In July 2013 he joined the team at Brook Hollow Golf Club in Dallas as the Assistant Superintendent. While there, he was selected along with 50 other Assistants from the US and Canada to attend the 10th Annual Green Start Academy in North Carolina. This unique program featured educational and mentoring sessions from superintendents and leaders in the industry from across the country. In May 2016 he served as an agronomy volunteer for the Senior PGA Championship at Harbor Shores.
Grant accepted the position of Golf Course Superintendent at Pinecrest Country Club in Longview, TX in July 2016. There he developed and implemented a new agronomic and maintenance program that saw course improvements every year. During his tenure Pinecrest hosted multiple North Texas PGA events. As conditions on the golf course improved, the club saw membership nearly double, and the club activities reached its highest levels in years.
Grant returned home to Richardson in May 2023 becoming the Golf Course Superintendent at Sherrill Park. He is excited to return home and about the opportunity to work for the City of Richardson. His dad introduced him and his brother to the game of golf, playing at Sherrill Park. Along with his amazing team, he is looking forward to providing Richardson residents and patrons from around the area a superb playing experience for golfers of all levels of skill.
Grant is an active member of both the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) as well as the North Texas Golf Course Superintendents Association where he serves on the Board of Directors.

Dave Hasse, PGA Member
Certified Titleist Performance Institute Golf Fitness Instructor Lvl. 1
Dave has been a member of the PGA of America since 1992. For the past 20 years Dave has taught beginners, intermediate and advanced players from ages 5 to 85. Dave is the head coach of the “Hawks” Junior golf team, and a member of the Northern Texas PGA Junior Golf Committee. He completed his certification as a Golf Fitness Trainer Level 1 through the Titleist Performance Institute. Dave was honored to receive the 2008 NTPGA Junior Golf Leader Award, and received honorable mention (in 2007) by US Kids Golf for top 50 Junior Instructor’s in the state.
Dave’s teaching philosophy is “let’s enjoy learning about YOUR most efficient golf swing based on your goals and desires.”

Andrew Lewis, PGA Professional

Andrew has been coaching golf full time since 2009. He served as Director of Instruction at multiple facilities in the North Texas area and joined Sherrill Park in the fall of 2022.
Andrew has been recognized by Golf Digest multiple times as one of the nations top coaches under 40 as well as a Best Teacher in Texas. Andrew currently works primarily with high performance competitive athletes. He currently works with 6 of the top 150 players in the country.
Andrew’s approach to coaching is holistic in nature and always prioritizing what the athlete needs to improve performance quickly and sustainably.
